The Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid land dispute in Ayodhya came to an end on October 16, 2019, and the Supreme Court reserved its decision, which was eventually rendered on November 9. In the verdict, the Ram Janmabhoomi trust was granted ownership of the contested 2.77-acre plot of land in Ayodhya by the supreme court. It was also ordered that the Muslims in Ayodhya be given an alternative plot of land in a "suitable" and "prominent" location so that they may construct a mosque.
