"D.I.S.C.O." is a song by the French band Ottawan. Ottawan
originally recorded it in French in 1979. After being released
into the music industry, it immediately became an
international success, reaching No. 2 on the Billboard charts.
The song's name is an acronym and comes from the lyrics in its
chorus, in which a woman is claimed to be "D.I.S.C.O.".
Fronted by Patrick Jean-Baptiste and Annette Altice, they
were masterminded through cooperation between French
producer Daniel Vangarde and Belgian producer Jean Kluger.
The debut of Ottawan and their first performance under this
name was in 1979.
So many generations grew up with their music and danced to
its rhythms. put your hands in the air – hands up! Yes its
Ottawan, a French pop music duo that had the hit singles
"D.I.S.C.O." and "Hands Up (Give Me Your Heart)" in the early
1980s.
