She is the first Indian designer who has an international label called "Anamika". Her creations are available in both online and retail places all around India and the world. Before becoming a fashion designer, Anamika was a classical dancer and painter. Khanna's professional career began in 1998. She was invited to show her bridal collections in Pakistan as part of Bridal Asia in 2003. In 2004, she launched her international label "Anamika" and showcased her collections at the Lakme Fashion Week's Grand Finale. In 2014, Anamika Khanna debuted her collection at the Bvlgari India launch. She is also a part of the Bvlgari Singapore team.
In 2016, she collaborated with Amrapali Jewellers in Jaipur to present her jewellery collection at India Couture Week. Traditional naths and timeless polki were among the selections. Sonam Kapoor was seen wearing Khanna's creations at various red carpet events, including Cannes red- carpet gala in 2013, Cannes 2014 and Cannes 2016. Her creations were worn by Kareena Kapoor at Lakme Fashion Week 2015 and other red carpet events. Mira Rajput wore Anamika Khanna's lehenga at her wedding. Deepika Padukone wore an Anamika Khanna saree at the Time 100 Gala in New York in 2018. Deepika Padukone, Nita Ambani, Isha Ambani, Shloka Mehta, Radhika Merchant, Katrina Kaif, and Neha Dhupia have all been spotted wearing her couture on various occasions.
